General Questions
Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout using a spring-based machine called a Reformer. It focuses on strength, core stability, flexibility, and alignment through controlled, mindful movement.
No experience is necessary! Most of our classes are suitable for all levels, and our instructors offer modifications to meet your individual needs.
You can reach us by email at hello@siastudios.ch via Instagram @siastudiospilates or in our Studio. We’re happy to answer any questions or help you find the right class.
Not at all! Pilates is for everyone—regardless of gender, age, or fitness level. It’s a highly effective method for improving strength, flexibility, posture, and body awareness, and is used by athletes, beginners, and professionals alike. At SÍA Studios, we welcome all who want to move better and feel stronger.
Classes and scheduling
You can book classes directly through our website or our app.
We offer a variety of classes including SIAgnature, Sweatformer, Bootyformer and Private/Semi-Private sessions. More Classes are coming soon.
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before class (or 6 hours for our members) to avoid being charged. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the class being deducted from your package.
While we do not offer dedicated women-only classes, our class sizes are very small (maximum 6 people), allowing for a personal and comfortable atmosphere. If you prefer to attend a session with only women, feel free to contact us in advance, and we’ll be happy to let you know which classes currently have only female participants or help you find a suitable option.
Equipment and Studio
Please bring a water bottle and a sweat towel if you like. Grip socks are mandatory for hygiene and safety—available to rent or buy at the studio.
Yes, we have a changing area where you can comfortably get ready before or after your session.
At this time, SÍA Studios does not have shower facilities. However, we provide a comfortable space for you to freshen up after class. We recommend bringing a towel if needed.
Results and goals
We recommend 2–3 times per week for best results in strength, posture, and flexibility.
Absolutely. Pilates is a highly adaptable method, and we can work very specifically toward individual goals such as improved posture, core strength, flexibility, or recovery from injury. For the most targeted and personalized support, we recommend starting with Private Sessions, where we can tailor the entire workout to your needs and track your progress closely.
As Joseph Pilates famously said: "In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 you’ll see the difference, and in 30 you’ll have a new body.”
Everyone’s journey is unique, but with regular practice, the transformation is real—inside and out.
Pilates builds lean muscle, improves posture, and supports overall wellness. While it’s not high-impact cardio, it can support fat loss as part of a healthy lifestyle.
First Visit
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in, get oriented, and meet your instructor. We’ll guide you through everything you need to know. We will also send a short intro video prior class.
Wear comfortable, form-fitting activewear that allows for movement. Grip socks are required.
Don’t worry! Our instructors are here to support you. Every movement can be modified, and your pace is always respected. Just showing up is a great first step.
Health & Limitations
Yes, but it depends on the nature of the injury. Please inform us in advance and consult your doctor if necessary. For safe and tailored support, we strongly recommend starting with a Private Session, where we can adjust exercises to your needs and ensure you’re moving safely.
Pilates can be very beneficial during pregnancy, especially for core strength, posture, and relieving tension. However, we advise pregnant clients to book Private or Semi-Private sessions, so we can adapt the workout to each trimester and your personal needs. Please consult your doctor before starting.
If you have acute injuries, recent surgery, or uncontrolled medical conditions, we recommend seeking medical clearance before attending a group class. Your safety is our priority, and Private Sessions may be a safer starting point.
Always listen to your body. If something doesn’t feel right, pause the movement and let your instructor know immediately. We’re here to support you and will offer safe alternatives or modifications to suit your condition.
